Does "Miscellaneous Equipment-Production" also cover equipment that is loaned to the production company by private parties? What documentation is required from such private parties?
The policy forms cover only owned or rented equipment, not donated equipment. We suggest that the equipment owner and production company draw up a simple rental agreement, which could take the form of the following:

"For the sum of $1.00, John Doe agrees to rent my camera/sound/lighting equipment to XYZ Productions, Inc., for the term January 1, 2019 through January 20, 2019. XYZ Productions agrees to provide replacement cost insurance in the amount of $350,000 for the full term of the rental, naming John Doe as a Loss Payee. In addition, XYZ Productions will name John Doe as an Additional Insured on its General Liability and Non-Owned Auto Liability policy for the full term of the rental."

Is equipment covered when used underwater?
Equipment used underwater is only covered if used in a swimming pool.

Can Rented Equipment coverage be obtained mono-line (without any other coverages such as liability, etc.)?
Yes. Property coverage can be issued mono-line with limits up to $25,000.

Can Negative and Faulty Stock coverage be obtained mono-line (without any other coverages such as property, etc.)?
No. Negative and faulty stock must be obtained in conjunction with rented and/or owned equipment.
